Life has no rewind, yet we can relive those stories that have shaped the person that we have become in different stages. Some of those were happy tears, while others were full of “what ifs?” Of course, each of us has a special memory to cherish as we grow inevitably. We often contemplate inwardly and outwardly, and realize that being human is more than just breathing. Our mind, heart, and soul are in constant search for fulfillment. We have to find our passion, or we’ll always be wandering in the abyss.

Through the years, I’ve come across many inspirational stories from different walks of life. Each one enlightened me that we all have a shared destiny, no matter where we come from or where we are going. Our emotions, energies, and dreams drive us to cross the same path of uncertainty and wonders. Yet this adventure fills our cup that never runs dry and empty. That’s a treasure to keep, and it’s worth our entire existence. As I travel through time now, I can proudly share these precious lessons on life, career, relationships, business and more - hoping it will make somebody wiser.

My Life, My Story to Write!

Admit it, you’ve been in the situation where you don’t want to be told what to do with your life. That probably happened when you were a teenager or a young adult, trying to free yourself from the shackles of your parents’ rules. I remember that rebellious attitude as I sought absolute freedom from anything. “Just let me do whatever I wish, and let me express who I am.” Sounds familiar, eh? Ironically, this behavior is quite typical of kids coming out of the shell. It breaks your guards, which might turn out liberating or way too dangerous.

I had a unique life growing up from a humble family, yet I’m sure some of my experiences were extraordinary. We all have secrets. But at certain points of our lives, we surely have learned the lessons. Most of the time, we know what’s best for us. No matter how grown up we become though, our innocence still lingers on ‘cause we really don’t know everything. So, my advice for the young ones is to stay open-minded and teachable as you move from one stage to another. Your mother, father, siblings, friends, or anyone who has good intentions might have something to offer for your own good.

Of course, you hold the pen as you write the story of your life. It’s not just you, however. You have to recognize that the people you meet, the circumstances that you come across, and so on have a special place in how your life begins and ends. Write from that point and you’ll not miss anything.

Find Your Passion, Career Follows…

What is that “one thing” that makes your life fulfilling? Once you discover that, pursue that calling as your career. You won’t live a day working if you love what you’re doing. This is the unchanging truth in life, no matter your desires and circumstances. But sometimes, there’s a supernatural force that leads us to our destiny, as it happened to me. I should have become a seafarer, rather than a writer, researcher, and teacher, if not for the Lord’s grand plan in my life. I never knew that this redirection would be the profession that I’m going to take in my future life. It became clear when I realized the connection to my ultimate purpose and mission. Perhaps it also happened to you or someone you know.

The best lesson I got from this experience is that life can be so unpredictable. While we are determined to take a single path, there are many things that are beyond our control. So, the advice I can offer to everyone who’s trying to figure out their passion and career is to have a flexible approach. Be adaptable and fluid like water. Once you can take any shape without breaking, you can overcome anything. I have excelled in my field which I once thought was a mere option. But look at me now, am I not a living proof of someone who's an expert in the field? Well, I know my worth.

Relationships Keep Us Alive!

I love talking about relationship stories with anyone, while maintaining a sense of privacy. This openness is a sign of maturity, at least for me. If you can’t talk about your romantic and family affairs, then what is the medium of understanding? Communication is crucial in any transaction, whether it’s private or not. That’s the lesson I would always share to kids and people of my age. I remember a lot of stories I had with many people, and they have made me a better giver, and a more appreciative taker. It’s the essence of a reciprocal relationship, anyway - "give and take".

Don’t be afraid to get heartbroken - that’s a sign of courage, of not being afraid of taking any risks. That’s the best advice I could give to my younger self, because I’ve been there, too. Whether it’s a love or business affair, you need to forge meaningful relationships to achieve common gains. This experience helps you grow, no matter if you win or lose. If you keep winning, stay humble. If you lose at times, remember that it’s not the end of your story. Always look at every relationship as an opportunity to grow.

Business? Money Comes Next!

Let’s make it clear: every successful business person that you meet started from the bottom, from scratch. So, don’t be discouraged to begin somewhere with what you have. I am not an exception. Like you, I am also looking forward to becoming a billionaire, like my lola and their family. They have a mega asset, but what I admire about them most is not really money - it’s their values and character of lending a helping hand whenever needed. I believe that it’s one thing that sets apart the truly rich individuals from the poor ones. It's good karma - what you give is what comes back to you.

So, during my birthday, I wish that people who want to become rich would never forget where they come from. It pains me every time I know someone who adds to the suffering of another, and to discover that they were once in that situation. This experience made me realize that money can change a good person to a worst one. But for others, it is an opportunity to share their blessings and change society for the better. Money should always come next, you know what I mean.

Have You Changed the World Yet?

In churches and schools, everyone is taught to change the world for the better. You might also have heard that sermon or lesson. Luckily for me, I have internalized the good values rather than just passively accepting any idea or belief. With wars, hunger, poverty, and all worst issues facing the world, we need people who truly act on what matters. So yes, heroes are the best example as they are willing to die for a cause, to save us, and to enlighten everyone. We must advocate for positive changes in our homes and nation because that’s where values formation starts. Remember that action is the fruition of knowledge - if you don’t use it for good, it’s meaningless.

One day, you will meet someone who’s mentally gifted yet unable to make a positive impact on society. They simply accept things as they are, no matter the status quo. I would rather admire the average yet revolutionary mind because they drive civilization to a more advanced state. Well personally, I did the same thing. I risked my life and family just to help my nation stand up from oppression and all injustices. The Lord was with us, and day by day, we are winning minds and hearts that join our ultimate cause, silently and publicly. History and the future will remember and reward us, for sure.

Let’s Explore the Great, Great Beyond!

Wonders and miracles - have you experienced one yet? Your birth and life in this world is the ultimate proof of that. It’s the gift of our Creator because you have a purpose and mission, yet free to choose your own path. You either become good or evil depending on the choices you make. Hopefully, you realize that what you do now has a lasting impact on what you will face in the afterlife. We will all be judged for our deeds and intentions, and we cannot escape the consequences. So, whether you’re in a relationship, career, or business, being a good person is always a winning position.

Never limit yourself to this world - that’s one great lesson that will save you. It guides your destiny as you can think beyond this lifetime. Meditate as you enjoy blessings or confront misfortunes, though it seems usual. These things don’t happen by chance nor by your own capacity alone - there are spirits all around us. If you act with a good heart, it will change another person until it multiplies. This is how we change the world.

One day, you’re going to look back and look forward, and realize that your life is near the finish line. You can replay everything in your mind, but what’s gonna remain is what you keep inside and cherish forever. That’s life.
